and the LMUSD Board of Education present
21st Century Learning Skills, Education
and Competitiveness Community Forum
Tuesday, March 30th at 4:00pm

Please join us for an exciting and informative evening as we ask respected education and business leaders for their thoughts on what skills students need to learn in order to be successful in the 21st Century. The world is changing at a rapid pace, and schools must keep up with what is required to ensure our students have a competitive advantage in the world.
Our guest speakers include Warren Baker, President of California Polytechnic State University; Jose Ortiz, President/Superintendent of Allan Hancock College; and, Gil Stork, interim President/Superintendent of Cuesta College. Also joining the panel discussion are Keith Lovgren, Senior Program Manager, Pacific Gas & Electric, Inc., and Bernie Trilling, Global Director of the Oracle Education Foundation.
Speakers will share their insights from their unique perspectives and help us learn how to better prepare our students for the future. This forum is the first in a series sponsored by the Lucia Mar Unified School District as we work to develop a compelling vision for our future. We hope you will be able to join us.
This is a free event however seats are limited. Please reserve your tickets today - limit two tickets per person. If you are interested in bringing a group, please contact the Box Office at 489-9444.
