eventyr - into the woods
Presented by Suspended Motion Aerial
Join Eva and Javan as they adventure deep into a magical forest. The forest is watched over by Pixie, who strives to keep order of a rather chaotic world. Caught up in a Pixie's tricks, our lovers will have to fight the forest, magical creatures and elements on their adventures. Will our pesky Pixie learn a lesson or two along the way? Join Suspended Motion Aerial Arts in their annual show "Eventyr" for high flying cirque adventures. A cast of 35 will take to the air to create a magical tale of love, passion, and flight.

Presented by Everybody Can DANCE and Santa Maria Civic Ballet
On a theme reminiscent of the Harry Potter series, the Firebird is a dazzling creature, a phoenix, whose feathers give protection to the one who possesses them. The evil magician, Kaschei (Bone Man), the Deathless is comparable to Voldemort. Kaschei hides his soul in a giant egg, and the only way to defeat him is to find the egg and destroy it. That task is carried out by the hero, Ivan, portrayed by guest artist, Sayat Asatryan, who has performed leading roles internationally. This staging of a world of fantasy and enchantment will appeal to children as well as adults. Also on the program is Carnival of the Animals and Odalisque and the Dream Ballet (The Harem) from Le Corsaire (The Pirate).

A benefit for Coastal Chamber Youth Ballet, Showtime! is a dance, voice and theater spectacular, featuring the dancers of the Coastal Chamber Youth Ballet and the talented students of Coastal Dance and Music Academy, the premier arts academy on the central coast. This high energy entertaining show has something for everyone and is sure to please the whole family. Audiences will be treated to a wide range of dance styles, choral and soloist vocal performances of old and new favorites, and musical theater selections straight from Broadway.
