Fiddler on the Roof Jr.

May 26 @ 7:00 pm

Presented by Coastal Youth Theater

Coastal Youth Theater (Annie Jr., Nightmare Before Xmas, Legally Blonde, Jr.) is proud and honored to be presenting Fiddler on the Roof, Jr. A winner of nine Tony Awards when it debuted in 1964, Fiddler on the Roof has touched audiences worldwide with its humor, warmth and honesty, this universal show is a staple of the musical theatre canon.

The classic story centers on Tevye, a poor milkman, and his five daughters. With the help of a colorful and tight-knit Jewish community, Tevye tries to protect his daughters and instill them with traditional values in the face of changing social mores and the growing anti-Semitism of Czarist Russia. Rich in historical and ethnic detail, Fiddler on the Roof’s universal theme of tradition cuts across barriers of race, class, nationality and religion, leaving audiences crying tears of laughter, joy and sadness.

All parents can relate to wanting what best for their children while working through the bittersweet separation that occurs between their child and adulthoods. Artistic Director Natalia Salsbury traverses this theme beautifully, along with musical direction by Mark Robertshaw, and choreography by Danya Nunley. The young performers of Coastal Youth Theater have proven time and again that they are true professionals and their talents in this show will astound you!

Tickets General Admission: Adults $18, Seniors $16, Students $14 + $2 service fee per ticket
