Jack Ingram Saturday, February 28th, 2009 at 8pm
- performance sponsored by KJUG 98.1
2008 Academy of Country Music Top New Male Vocalist of the Year Jack Ingram started writing songs and performing while he was studying psychology at Southern Methodist University in Dallas. Luckily for us, Ingram chose a career in music and discovered an altogether different kind of therapy. He weaves his questions about life into songs whose depth and incisive wit are matched with their melodic resonance and insistent hooks. Rather than charging a hundred bucks an hour to listen to our problems, Ingram took to the stage and channeled his emotional searching and his quest to find a place in the world, into one of music’s most explosive live shows. Jack Ingram is currently hitting the top of the country music charts with singles such as “Wherever You Are,” “Love You,” “Measure of a Man” and “Maybe She’ll Get Lonely.”
