Since opening in 2002, the Clark Center for the Performing Arts has become the Central Coast’s premier venue for world-class, professional performing arts in an intimate setting. Located next to the Arroyo Grande High School campus, the Clark Center is a state-of-the-art hub for cultural events serving all the people of our community with a diverse and varied world of creative arts performed in the professional surroundings of the Clark Center.
Both the Clark Center’s Forbes Hall and Studio Theatre are used by various professional and community productions and are available to rent.
Looking for a particular target audience demographic? The area is a perfect location to “test market” a show, as well as present established acts. Media rates are relatively cheap, and there is little overlap with other media markets.
* SLO County, and especially Arroyo Grande, skews older, whiter and more highly educated than the state as a whole.
* Nearby Santa Maria skews younger and more Hispanic than the state as a whole.
* The Pismo Beach / Arroyo Grande area is a popular vacation destination (with several thousand hotel rooms) for visitors from Fresno, Bakersfield and southern California.
The entire region is economically vibrant with a diverse economy in manufacturing, agriculture, tourism, software; federal, state and local government services, universities and colleges, and miscellaneous services.
