Great Venue for Renters

Why Rent the Clark Center for your Show?

The Clark Center for the Performing Arts is a state-of-the-art performance venue built in 2002. The Clark is one the Central Coast’s premier venues for world-class, professional performing arts in an intimate setting. It hosts hundreds of performances a year. There is ample and free parking on site. The Clark has a full-time staff, and the Box Office is open six days a week. The region is economically vibrant with a population of over 200,000 plus thousands of tourists within a 25-mile radius.

Both the Clark Center’s Forbes Hall (617 seats) and Studio Theatre (about 100 seats) are used by many professional and community productions, and are available to rent.

Testimonials

“A great local Performing Arts Center with all the accoutrements of a much larger PAC… stage size, production capability, backstage facilities, dressing rooms, green rooms, comfortable seating and lobby area, concessions, parking plus a very reasonable marketing package… perfect for a smaller PAC performance.” — Bruce Howard of Otter Productions (Local Producer of several shows booked in past.)

“The Clark Center is a great place to bring a performance. The local community is the perfect demographic and so supportive. We look forward to bringing more shows to the Central Coast; they are always such a huge hit!” — Debra Barber of Diamond Horseshoe Productions (Las Vegas based producer of three past shows at the Clark, and one upcoming show booked as of April 2017)

“The Clark Center doesn’t just 4-wall it. The essential ingredient for this renter is a great marketing partnership with the theatre. The Clark Center provides just that – a marvelous package that is as good as it gets! The Clark Center doesn’t just 4-wall it, it partners with you thus ensuring greatest possible exposure to success. An A+ all around!” — Margaret O’Carroll of KerryRecords.com (LA-Based Producer of two past shows at Clark Center, as well as one upcoming show booked as of April 2017)

Looking for a particular target audience demographic? The area is a perfect location to “test market” a show, as well as present established acts. Media rates are relatively inexpensive, and there is little overlap with other media markets. Please call or review the attached links for local demographic information.

In addition to the local population, the region is a popular year-round vacation destination with dozens of lodging properties and several thousand of hotel rooms. These are filled with people looking for fun things to do at night.

The entire region is economically vibrant with a diverse economy in manufacturing, agriculture, tourism, Cal Poly University, software; federal, state and local government services, two community colleges, and miscellaneous services. The unemployment rate is typically below the state average.
