An action plan for Central Coast Job Creation

“Reach 2030 is a bold, ambitious plan to drive job creation on a game-changing scale.” – Ty Safreno, Trust Automation CEO / Hourglass Project Board Chair

Join us as we unveil REACH 2030 – an action plan of specific priorities and initiatives designed to create a more prosperous Central Coast economy.

At this event you will have the opportunity to:
• Learn about the REACH 2030 Job Creation Action Plan.
• Hear about the evolution of Hourglass – and our new banner.
• Get the inside scoop on statewide economic development initiatives from Gov. Newsom’s chief economic adviser, Lenny Mendonca.
• Connect with leaders from business, government and education from SLO and Santa Barbara counties.

“As someone who immigrated here, I’m excited about the doors this plan opens for the next generation to find the kind of opportunity I’ve found to thrive on the Central Coast.”– Alejandro Quiroz, IQMS Vice President of Finance

Meet Lenny Mendonca:

Mendonca is one of the state’s leading voices on growing a sustainable economy for all Californians. Among his priorities are increasing the stock of affordable housing, preparing our youth for a changing economy and new strategies for growing living-wage jobs.

His diverse public and private sector background, which includes Senior Partner Emeritus at McKinsey & Company, Stanford Business School lecturer, California Forward Leadership Council co-chair and small business owner, has informed his keen insight into California’s innovation economy.

“We live, work, play and care for people across the many diverse communities of the Central Coast. The REACH 2030 plan crosses the same boundaries that we do every day with a vision to ensure the next generation has the ability to thrive here.” – Sue Andersen, Marian Regional Medical Center President/CEO
