Cinco de Mayo
with Mariachi Los Galleros
Monday, May 5; 9:30 AM & 11:00 AM
Each Program 50-60 minutes in length
Join us for a morning educational program celebrating Mexican culture and heritage with members of Mariachi Los Galleros, from the city of Guadalajara in the state of Jalisco, Mexico. Formed in 1968 (interestingly, in Los Angeles) and today known as “the most beloved Mariachi in Mexico,” the group has performed with The Beatles, Linda Ronstadt, Lucha Villa, Vicki Car, Vicente Fernandez, Alejandro Fernandez, Juan Gabriel, Jenny Rivera, Guadalupe Pineda, Aida Cuevas, Joan Sebastian and Marco Antonio Solis "El Buki" to name a few. Today, the group’s Artistic Director is Maestro Danny Rey, part of the fourth generation of Mariachi musicians in a family of great tradition and lineage in Mexican music.
