Right In The Eye

The first wizard of special effects is the star of this fun and family-friendly multimedia show. Thrill to a dozen wild and imaginative short silent movies by Georges Méliès, an innovative pioneer of early cinema, while three virtuoso musicians from France bring these classic cinematic gems to new life while playing 50 rare and unique instruments, taking the audience on a fantastical journey. 

Much more than just a movie-concert, Right in the Eye is fabulously imaginative and poetic, offering a playful and current rendition of the works of Georges Méliès.  With an original score composed by Jean-François Alcoléa for each film, every piece is unique, yet integrated into the production as a whole.

About Georges Méliès

Widely regarded as the "creator of cinematic spectacle," George Méliès was an inventive pioneer whose imagination reshaped the early days of film.  A magician turned filmmaker, he explored fantastical stories, surreal imagery, and groundbreaking special effects.
